Help Harry
Charity for Harry officially launched
September 26, 2012, will see the official launch of HelpHarry- HelpOthers as a new charity created to carry on the work of the amazing Harry Moseley.
Whilst battling an inoperable brain tumour, Harry was inspired to make a difference to all people with cancer when a friend of his who also had a brain tumour became very ill.
Within two years Harry had organised and attended nearly 100 events to raise money for and awareness of cancer. He touched the hearts of the nation with his efforts and helped change the lives of everyone he met.
Sadly, Harry’s health took a sudden turn for the worse following brain surgery in August 2011. On October 8, 2011, and after 14 weeks in a coma, Harry died peacefully at home in his mum’s arms.
September will see the launch of Harry’s ultimate dream, a new charity created to continue his efforts in supporting the families of all those affected by cancer.
The charity will not only support them emotionally and financially, but will also help fund care and research programmes designed to ease the suffering of patients and their families as well as ultimately helping find a cure for brain cancer.
The Birmingham Post Awards support of HelpHarryHelpOthers will be one of the first events where members of the public can for the first time actually help Harry directly in his efforts, and an incredible opportunity to help launch this international charity whose heart and soul was, and will always be, founded in Birmingham.
